Marcus F. Buckley, Vice President for Finance and Administration

Marcus F. Buckley joined the senior administration at The College of Saint Rose in July 2005. As chief administrative officer, the Vice President for Finance and Administration and Treasurer has the primary financial and fiduciary responsibility for the College and is responsible for a diverse portfolio ranging from institutional finance and accounting to purchasing, auxiliary services, human resources, facilities, risk management, environmental health, and safety and security.

Prior to assuming his duties at The College of Saint Rose, Mr. Buckley served for four years as the Vice President for Finance & Administration and Treasurer at Allegheny College, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, a small private liberal arts college in northwest Pennsylvania, Chief Financial Officer for Green Mountain College in Poultney, Vermont, and Business Manager of Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Mr. Buckley earned a B.A. in 1973 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts.

The Office of Finance and Administration provides consultative and college wide support services to students, faculty and staff by strategically managing institutional resources, including personnel, financial, technical and physical plant resources. The focus of excellent strategic management is in the promotion of student-learning outcomes that are achieved by providing a safe, comfortable learning and work environment to the extended college community.
