Classroom Presentations/AssignmentsClassroom/Group Presentations The Career Center is available to make presentations to classes and student organizations about our services, programs and resources, as well as a variety of career-related topics. (Career Center Overview, Career Planning, Interviewing, Job & Internship Search, MBTI, Resume & Cover Letters, plus more).
Career Related Assignments We encourage you to think about ways to integrate career-related activities that encourage use of the Career Center into your classroom curriculum. Each semester faculty assign students to stop by the Career Center to learn about our services, programs and resources, take one of our career-related assessments, attend a Career Center program or event, have their resume and cover letter critiqued and/or participate in a mock interview with our staff.
eCareerCenterJob/Internship Listings, Events, and Resources Thousands of job and internship opportunities are made available to our students and alumni through the Career Center's On-Line Postings, Recruiting Program, Events (i.e. Education Expo), and other career-related resources.
Career Advisory Network (C.A.N.) Database of alumni, parents and friends of the college who have offered to share information and advice related to their career, job, employer and/or geographical location.
Credential File ServiceThe Career Center offers students and alumni a Credential File Service - a convenient, organized and confidential way for students and alumni to house information for graduate schools and employers. It may contain reference letters, College of Saint Rose transcripts (considered unofficial copies) and a copy of educational certifications (if applicable).
As Saint Rose faculty, administrators and staff you may be asked to write letters of recommendation. As a writer of reference letter, your comments can be of great importance to employers and/or admissions committees. Reference Letter Writers Handout
