Dear Alumni, Parents and Friends,

We recently celebrated Reunion 2009 on June 5, 6 and 7 with more than 600 alumni and guests returning to campus. Our alumni had the opportunity to meet current students, enjoy the beautiful grounds and explore new buildings while reconnecting with classmates. All were impressed with the progress and prominence of their College.

Reunion reinforces how fortunate we are to be associated with The College of Saint Rose, an institution that has experienced outstanding growth in enrollment, academic programs and campus facilities in the past decade. However, these accomplishments would not be possible without your gift to Saint Rose; it is an investment in our future. It can change a student’s life by guaranteeing vital financial aid, ensure that a gifted professor chooses to teach at the College or help build state-of-the-art facilities that foster academic, spiritual and physical growth. Each gift supports our mission to cultivate the talents of our students in a diverse learning community and expand their educational opportunities through engagement with the urban environment.

While high-profile gifts and long-term projects drew headlines during the year, another fundamental measure of our success lies in our capacity to meet current needs — particularly financial aid for students — in a flexible way that responds to the demands of the year, the day, the moment. In this regard, The Saint Rose Fund plays a critical role by delivering support where and when it is needed.

We recognize that fundraising in the current economic environment will continue to be challenging. We also know that a Saint Rose education matters deeply to our students and their parents, to our alumni and ultimately to the society in which our students will participate. We believe that alumni, parents and friends will continue to support the College to their best ability because they remain committed to our educational mission.
