What Does a Peer Leader Do?

Peer Leaders guide small groups of students through Problem-Based Workshops. Peer Leaders serve as facilitators, coaches, and role models for students taking the Fundamentals of Science sequence.

Fundamentals of Science

SCI 100 and SCI 200 (Fundamentals of Science) are required courses for Childhood Education and SEED majors who concentrate in areas other than science. These courses include mandatory Problem-Based Workshops, led by Peer Leaders.

Who Are Peer Leaders?

Peer Leaders are students at The College of Saint Rose who have a GPA above 3.0, are enthusiastic about science, and who have a desire to help others. Please contact Amanda Parker at (518) 454-2177 if you are interested in becoming a Peer Leader.
