ABOUT THE ARCHIVES

History of the Archives

The College Archives was officially established in 1990 to document the history of the College from its origins in 1920 as a Catholic college for women to its present status as an independent, coeducational institution with both undergraduate and graduate programs. The Archives contains a large collection of materials by and about the College of Saint Rose people, programs and offices. Special Collections are housed in the same location.

Mission Statement

The College of Saint Rose Archives and Special Collections (Archives) appraises, collects, describes, preserves, and makes available the non-current, official records of the College and materials by and about persons affiliated with the College which have legal, administrative, or historical value.
