Liturgical Music Certification

This non-credit professional continuing education program leads to a Certificate in Liturgical Music. It is designed for people with some theological background who are interested in liturgical music. This certificate program will provide students with a broad but in-depth exposure to liturgical practice and ecclesiology. Open to the general public of all faith traditions.

Through readings, assignments and discussions reflective of the richness of liturgical topics, those involved will become more effective liturgical musicians within their own faith communities. The program concludes with a final project where participants will create a liturgical model of worship for a particular liturgical season, holy day or sacramental celebration for their community. A closing festival will be planned and presented by the participants and area choirs and clergy.

Total Program Cost: $650

Open to the Public

Music directors, organists, cantors, choir members, clergy and any person interested in music liturgy are encouraged to register for this program. All faith traditions welcome!
