Celebrating 100 Years - The College of Saint Rose

Watch our Centennial Celebration

Our centennial celebration video, which featured a variety of members of our College community, made its debut with a live watch party held on YouTube and Facebook on June 12. You can still view the documentary on YouTube.

Thanks to our Volunteers and Sponsors

A volunteer-driven centennial celebration committee, working with the Office of Institutional Advancement, wrapped up a very successful fundraising campaign in honor of the centennial. The initiative, led by centennial celebration co-chairs and trustees Julie Massry Knox G’04 and Rita Crotty ’70, raised over $540,000 for student scholarships. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our sponsors as we exceeded our fundraising goal by 116%. More than 325 individuals and companies were sponsors, including 100% trustee participation.

Please take a moment to view the full list of these very special people and businesses – including diamond sponsor Tri City Rentals and gold sponsors Ann Barry ‘65 and Gerald Barry, George R. Hearst III, Matthew H. Mataraso, and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet-Albany Province – who are all so critical to the mission of Saint Rose.

Part of our founding mission is serving the dear neighbor and meeting the concerns of the times. In honor of 100 years, starting in September, the Centennial Committee is launching a 100 Hours of Service project for the entire Saint Rose community.

Community Service Volunteers

How to participate

  • Log 100 hours of service in honor of Saint Rose’s 100 years. That translates to less than three hours a week.
  • Whether you volunteer time on a nonprofit board, knit hats for preemies in the NICU, or embark on a service trip – it all counts!
  • Completed projects will be recognized during Reunion 2021 at the culminating Centennial Celebration on June 12, 2021.
