What is The College of Saint Rose Endowment?

An endowment is a collection of assets invested by The College of Saint Rose that allows the institution to make commitments far into the future, knowing that financial resources to meet those commitments will be available.

Endowment funds are invested in perpetuity, meaning that the gift amount (or corpus) can never be spent, but a portion of the income earned is spent for the purpose designated by the donor. This endowment income provides support for student scholarships and awards, lectureships, department chairs, deanships and professorships, and other vital opportunities.

Gifts from individuals are the largest source of endowment funds that sustain our financial foundation and assist us in meeting the strategic priorities and the ongoing needs of The College of Saint Rose. A gift to the Saint Rose endowment is a powerful affirmation of your partnership in our mission and provides you the opportunity to create a legacy for future generations at The College of Saint Rose. How to Establish an Endowed Fund.
