Supporting Student Scholarships

At Saint Rose, the dreams of many students have been fulfilled through scholarship support, enabling them to experience a private, value-based college education.

Today, more than 90 percent of Saint Rose students receive some sort of financial assistance.

A large portion of this assistance is made possible by donor gifts, some through annual giving. For instance, a gift of $10,000 over a period of four years will provide a $2,500 scholarship for a student each year, and may be named in honor or memory of an individual.

LAMB VETERAN'S ASSISTANCE PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP was established by Mary Lou Grady Lamb `55 in honor and memory of her husband Dr. Robert Lamb to assist veterans in achieving their academic goals. The awards may be used for tuition not already covered by veteran’s benefit and/or other educational expenses, such as room and board, fees, books, or travel expenses. The first Lamb Veteran’s Assistance Program recipients were selected for fall 2010.

Or, a donor may choose to establish an endowed scholarship (or other endowed fund) at Saint Rose, which will endure as long as the College exists.  How to Establish an Endowed Fund

THE STEPS TO ESTABLISHING A SCHOLARSHIP FUND ARE SIMPLE:

- A DESIRE TO HELP AN ASPIRING STUDENT ATTEND THE COLLEGE OF SAINT ROSE;

-DETERMINING THE MOST TAX-WISE GIVING ARRANGEMENT TO FUND THE SCHOLARSHIP;

- CRAFTING CRITERIA WITH SPECIAL MEANING FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY (i.e. CHOOSING A CERTAIN MAJOR OR ACADEMIC PROGRAM).
