Piano Intensive Study

This Summer Music Camp program option is designed for students who wish to experience a concentrated study of piano. It is open to grades 8-12 and exceptional 6-7 graders (after reviewing their experience). Students should be comfortable with basic sight-reading skills and eager to meet the challenge of 10 days of intensive piano study with focused practice and music making.


Activities during the week will include:

• Piano Repertoire classes 
• Group Technique/Sight-reading classes
• Piano Ensemble (4 hands and 2 pianos)
• Two hours or more per day of supervised practice 
• Theory classes 
• Elective classes (Music History, Ear Training, Music Appreciation)
• A singing experience in Camp Choir
• Choice of Wind Ensemble, Orchestra or Select Mixed Chorus participation
• Performance in Student concerts
• Private Piano Lessons available for an extra fee
