Health Related Professions

Saint Rose offers several programs for students interested in health related fields. The programs in Occupational Therapy (OT) and Physical Therapy (PT) are collaborations between The College of Saint Rose and Sage Graduate School. Completion of these programs earns the student a baccalaureate degree from Saint Rose as well as a graduate degree from Sage (M.S. for OT and Clinical Doctorate for PT).

The Biology/Cytotechnology  program is 3+2 program. Upon completion the student earns a baccalaureate degree from Saint Rose and a Master of Science in Cytotechnology from the Albany College of Phamacy.

The  Medical Technology program is 3+1 program. Upon completion the student earns a baccalaureate degree from Saint Rose.

Students interested in careers in dentistry, medicine, or veterinary medicine are strongly encouraged to complete a degree in Biology or Biochemistry. In addition, the Pre-Med Committee is available to help prepare students for their graduate work. Students are also encouraged to contact the chair of the department of Physical and Biological Sciences at the earliest possible time in their undergraduate program in order to prepare for a graduate program in their chosen field.
