Degree Programs

The Computer Science Department offers undergraduate degree programs in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT) and Bioinformatics. The IT program stresses practical applied knowledge in the field of computer technology, while the CS program focuses on both software development and the theoretical study of computer science. The Bioinformatics program bridges a strong computer science foundation with coursework in biology, chemistry and physics. Our programs are constantly evolving with changes in the field, allowing the College to offer courses in emerging areas such as: Internet programming; programming in Java, C++, C#, and the .Net environment; artificial intelligence; and embedded systems. Since the ability to design projects and work in groups are necessities in the field, all seniors participate in the design and implementation of a large applied project. Most students also gain practical workplace experience through our internship programs.
