Academic Focus

Professors of the College Experience Program meld their past experiences of classroom and collegiate level teaching with their knowledge of the needs of individuals with disabilities to create an atmosphere that is ripe for learning. Small group instruction allows students to feel comfortable sharing in class discussions and asking insightful questions. Students will expand their thinking by reflecting and generalizing on their experience through reading and writing assignments.

The personal attention given to the students creates the opportunity to achieve success. State-of-the-art technology found in nearly all Saint Rose classrooms allow instructors to accommodate all learning styles, whether visual, auditory or kinesthetic.

The curriculum is uniquely designed to foster independence and to encourage participants to explore areas of interest both professionally and socially while immersed in a collegiate environment.

With a wide range of courses taught by highly qualified instructors and specifically designed with our students in mind, graduates will move on to the next chapter of their life with a solid foundation of skills.
