The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affiars

Mission and Responsibilities

The Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs is dedicated to serving students, faculty and staff of The College of Saint Rose. Our service responsibilities flow directly from the College Mission, its Strategic Plan and assorted policies and procedures related to our academic programs. The Office is responsible for supporting such functions as:

• Quality assurance of academic programs offered by our four Schools, the Library, Information Technology Services, International Programs, the Registrar and various Centers and Institutes
• Facilitating shared governance of faculty and administration
• Faculty recruitment, hiring, evaluations and development
• College Strategic Planning Management
• Assessment and program registration in concert with the New York State Education Department, Middle States, Commissioner on Higher Education and professional accrediting bodies
• Coordination of academic programs and initiatives with other College entities including Student Association, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Public Relations, Finance, Administration, Advancement, the President’s Office and the Representative Committee of the Faculty
• Nurturing a collegial and dynamic academic community of scholars and artists

Our Team

The Office of the Provost/VPAA team members are David Szczerbacki, Provost and Vice Preisdent for Academic Affiars; Bonita Pogge, Assistant to the Provost/VPAA; Christina Miller, Executive Secretary to the Provost/VPAA, Claire VanDenbergh, Administrative Secretary; Graduate Assistants Alicia Whitehead, Melissa Treadgold, Jessica Nicosia and Brian Hubert.
