Rare Books

Books

Rare books are chosen by subject coverage, rarity, source, condition, and form. The books housed in the Archives include:
- books from the Library's general collection that have been deemed valuable or rare
- books donated to the Archives
- textbooks from the 18th, and 19th, and 20th centuries
- books by College faculty
- theses by Master's candidates

You can browse or search the Library's catalog for all books housed in the Archives. Use the catalog's "limits" feature.

Early Textbook Collection

The Early Textbook Collection includes textbooks and instructional manuals primarily from the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Search the Library's catalog using the title: Early Textbook Collection.


Master's Theses

Students who have completed a thesis as part of their graduate program deposit one copy in the Archives and one copy in the Library's general collection. Although the copies in the Archives are available for viewing, the copies available in the Library's general collection may be borrowed by any authorized borrower (ie. student, faculty, etc.).

To search for theses by academic program: Search the Library's catalog using the title: CSR thesis and the program name as a keyword. For example, search CSR thesis (title) and Communication Sciences and Disorders (keyword).
