How to Get Here

Driving Directions and Parking

The College of Saint Rose is located between Western and Madison avenues (running east/west) and Partridge and Main streets (running north/south) in Albany.  The Massry Center for the Arts Lot is located behind 1002 Madison Avenue. Enter driveway at stoplight located at 1000 Madison Avenue. At the end of the driveway, turn left and park in the large Music East Saint Rose parking lot. Avoid parking in the Saint Vincent’s Parish Center marked parking spaces – your car will be towed.  Alternatively, you can turn right at the end of the driveway to park behind the Massry building. Additional parking is available in the Lasalle Lot or the Lally School of Education Lot, enter both from Western Avenue. View CAMPUS MAP for parking locations.

From the North: Take I-87 south until it ends at Western Avenue/Route 20. Do not bear right onto the exit ramps for 90 East or NYS Thruway. SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW “FROM Western AVENUE.”

From the South: Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) to exit 24. After the tollbooth take exit 1-S (Western Avenue/Route 20). SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW “FROM Western AVENUE.”

From the East: Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to the New York State Thruway, get off at exit B-1 (I-90 west). Proceed on I-90 to exit 5 (Everett Road). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Everett Road. At the third light, turn left onto Route 5 (Central Avenue). On Central Avenue, continue through four lights and then turn right onto North Main Avenue. Proceed on North Main for three traffic lights, then turn left onto Western Ave. At the very next traffic light, located in front of 432 Western Avenue, you can either turn left for the Lally Parking lot or right for LaSalle lot. Instead of turning on Western Avenue, you can proceed one block to the next traffic light and turn left onto Madison Avenue. Continue on Madison to the second stoplight and turn right into the driveway at 1000 Madison Avenue. Bear right to park behind the Massry Center for the Arts. View the CAMPUS MAP for parking locations.

From the West: Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) to exit 24. After the tollbooth take exit 1-S (Western Ave./Route 20). SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW “FROM Western AVENUE.”.

From Western Avenue: Take the exit for Western Avenue/Route 20. Take a left at the light (Route 20 east) and follow for approximately 2.7 miles to the corner of South Allen St. There will be a sign that says to get in the right lane for Saint Rose. At this point, Western Avenue forks to the left and Madison Avenue forks to the right at the stop light. Stay on Madison Avenue until you come to the second stoplight. At the light, turn right into the driveway and bear right behind the Massry Center. Parking is also available at either the Lally Parking lot or the LaSalle lot. Both are located on Western Avenue. View the CAMPUS MAP for parking locations.
