Mission Statement
The purpose of the Board, working in concert with the President of the College, is to substantially increase the level of community awareness of the College. By exerting the necessary leadership and influence within the professional business and political communities of the Northeast Region, the Board will assist the College in achieving its goals and objectives. In order to guarantee the success of this mission, the Board will organize and focus its energies in such a manner as to complement, not duplicate, existing College structures, including alumni groups, student and faculty organizations and the College Board of Trustees. In this way, the Board will enhance the capability of the College to reach beyond traditional community ties, thereby serving as an additional channel of communication for the College.

On March 20, 2008 the Board of Associates sponsored “Tech Valley: Beyond Technology” – a panel discussion on the impact of Tech Valley on non-technology professionals. Panelists John Daniels, Keith M. Goldstein, Kurt Jaeger, L. Oliver Robinson, and Missy Shorey discussed the issue of how Tech Valley goes beyond nanotechnology and biotechnology, and how its impact is felt throughout fields unrelated to technology.
