- Remarkable outcomes. One of our alumni is an internationally renowned soprano and recording artist. Another won first prize in the International Chamber Music Competition at Carnegie Hall. Still others have become music school directors, studio managers, and audio engineers working with Fortune 100 companies and headline performers.
- Faculty. Our 50 faculty have studied at Juilliard, the New England Conservatory, the Eastman School of Music, and other leading schools. Many are nationally recognized for excellence in performance as well as teaching and research.
- Opportunities to perform. Music majors are highly visible in the Albany music scene, with performances on campus and in many local clubs.
- Beautiful state-of-the-art facilities. Two buildings serve as home to Music students. The Massry Center for the Arts houses an acoustically superior concert hall, smart classrooms, practice rooms, and rehearsal rooms—all designed for the highest level of sound quality. Meanwhile, the Saint Rose Center for Communications and Interactive Media features professional recording studios, MIDI lab, and mixing rooms.
The Saint Rose Music Department is accredited by The National Association of Schools of Music (NASM) and by The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
