Art Index
Art Index, available through the Library's database list at http://www.strose.edu/Library/elecres/alphalist.htm, is a bibliographic database which cites articles from
more than 300 periodicals published throughout the world. Coverage
includes periodicals, yearbooks, and museum bulletins. Reproductions of
works of art appearing in periodicals are also indexed.
VERY IMPORTANT: The WWW version of Art Abstracts begins in 1984. Since many worthy scholarly articles on the history
of photography were published before 1984, you will need to use the
print volumes of Art Index, located in the Reference Room on
the first floor of the Library.
Hints for using Art Index online:
- Enter peer-reviewed journal in the Search block, and change Keyword
to Reviewed Journal Phrase
- Change Record Type Phrase to Article
