Golden Knights Bragging RightsThe College of Saint Rose athletics program offers 17 intercollegiate sports at the NCAA Division II level (M/W Cross Country, Men’s Golf, Women’s Tennis, Women’s Volleyball, M/W Soccer, M/W Basketball, M/W Swimming and Diving, M/W Indoor Track, M/W Outdoor Track, Baseball, Softball). The College also offers several intramural programs throughout the academic year. Other affiliations include: the 15-team Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) and the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Brandon Birchak captured the College’s first National Championship in any sport in March of 2007 after winning the one and three-meter diving events at the NCAA II Swimming and Diving Championships. NCAA Tournament appearances of Saint Rose teams in the last four years:
Three student-athletes have garnered national recognition for both academic and athletics excellence throughout the past year.
Thirty-four student-athletes have been named NE-10 All-Academic in recognition of academic and athletic excellence throughout the past two years. Twenty- four percent (58 of 244) of Saint Rose student-athletes were named to the Dean’s List (3.5 or higher GPA with a minimum 12 credit hours) for the spring 2007 semester
