Jessup Pierce
Assistant Athletic Trainer

Jessup Pierce enters his second year as the assistant athletic trainer for The College of Saint Rose. Under the direction of head athletic trainer Karen Fischer, Pierce helps supervise three graduate assistants and 20 student interns who handle the treatment and prevention of injuries in addition to the physical therapy program for the College's 250 student-athletes and 17 intercollegiate programs.

A certified athletic trainer according to NATABOC requirements, Pierce is also a certified instructor for the American Red Cross and American Heart Association where he is responsible for teaching CPR/AED and first aid course material to area district teachers and coaches.

He comes to Saint Rose having served as an athletic trainer for Top Form, Inc. throughout the Capital Region and upstate New York. During the 2005-06 academic year, Pierce was the head athletic trainer at nearby Guilderland High School where he provided injury evaluation, assessment and rehabilitation services for the school's athletics program.

This past summer he served as an athletic trainer at a pair of football camps including the Black and Blue Football Camp and the Capitaland Football Camp along with the Brian Beaury Basketball Camp and the Gym Rat AAU Basketball Tournament.

A 2003 graduate of Cedarville University (OH) with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, Pierce worked as a student athletic trainer under the supervision of the athletic training department’s faculty. While attending Cedarville, Pierce completed an internship at Springfield South High School for the football team. He also earned the Training Room Scholarship, Faculty Scholarship and was a four-year member of the Dean’s List.
