Diane Matthews is in her second year as the assistant track and field coach and athletics administrator for compliance. Matthews is responsible for the monitoring of compliance and academic eligibility in accordance with NCAA and Northeast-10 Conference rules and regulations. The Saint Rose athletics department is comprised of some 250 student-athletes who compete in 15 intercollegiate programs at the NCAA Division II level. Matthews also assists head coach Robert Dorn with all aspects of the track and field team, which is competing in its second full season after resuming its status as an intercollegiate sport in the spring of 2006. Matthew’s coaching emphasis is on jumping and field events. Matthews is a 2004 graduate of the University at Albany where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology with cum laude honors. While a student at UAlbany, Matthews was a four-year member of the women’s track and field team. She served as a two-year team captain and was an ECAC Merit Award winner. Matthews was previously employed by Dutchess Community College as an intern in the Career Counseling Services department. During this time, Matthews also attended Marist College where she earned a master’s degree in psychology in May of 2006. |
