Deadlines

Application/Financial Aid Timeline
September
Watch for your Saint Rose application packet in the mail
or apply on-line.

September-December
Attend an Admissions Open House.
Attend a Financial Aid Seminar.
Research scholarship opportunities.

December 1 (postmarked)
Submit your Saint Rose application by our Early Action
(non-binding) date of December 1
and you will:

  1. be considered first for scholarships;
  2. know your admissions status shortly thereafter;
  3. be among the first to receive your financial assistance package;
  4. have until May 1 to make your final decision

If your application is not accepted under Early Action, we will automatically consider you for Regular Admission (deadline February 1) and communicate with you if there is additional information we may need.

December-January
Attend a Financial Aid Information Session.

January
Complete and mail the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

February 1
Deadline for scholarship consideration (your admission application must be postmarked by February 1 to be considered). Art portfolio reviews for art majors and music auditions for music majors must be completed by february 1.

You will have until May 1 to make your final decision.

Applications will be reviewed for admission decisions, but not scholarship consideration after this date.

March 1
Deadline for financial aid application.

April
Review your Financial Aid Award Letter and return one signed copy to the Financial Aid Office.

May 1
Submit your intent to enroll form and deposit to reserve your place in our in-coming class and your residence hall room.

Meet with your school guidance or transfer counselor to discuss your college and career options.

Register and take the SAT or ACT exams. Be sure to have your test scores sent to Saint Rose.

Although Saint Rose has a rolling admissions policy, if you plan on majoring in music or art, you must have your music audition or art portfolio review prior to February 1 as part of the admission process.

If you are taking AP classes, be sure to have your final exam scores sent to Saint Rose.

Develop strong, positive relationships with your teachers or professors so that you will feel comfortable asking them to write recommendations for you when you apply.
