What Happens When
I'm Accepted to ACCESS
at Saint Rose?
As an entering freshman, you are required
to take part in an exciting and challenging pre-freshman summer
program. Designed to orient you to college life, this program will
also develop your academic skills and acquaint you with the following
supportive services available through ACCESS.
College Prepatory
Courses
To prepare you for college-level work, the ACCESS pro-fessional
staff will evaluate your academic strengths and weaknesses, and
design a specific academic program for you.
Tutorial Services To help you succeed in your courses, you may want to use
our tutorial services. The sessions are conducted on a one-to-one
or group basis, depending on your needs.
Academic Counseling
Services There is more to college than just your classes. We are here
to make sure that you receive assistance with problems that may
interfere with your academic progress. We offer personal counseling
that will help you adjust to college life, build your self-confidence
and create a positive attitude toward learning. Academic counseling
assists you in preparing to meet with your official academic advisor
where you will be selecting your courses and course load. Our counseling
services will help you make the most of your education.
