What Happens When
I'm Accepted to HEOP
at Saint Rose?
As an entering freshman, you are required
to take part in an exciting and challenging pre-freshman summer
program. Designed to orient you to college life, this program will
also develop your academic skills and acquaint you with the following
supportive services available through HEOP.
College Prepatory Courses To prepare you for college-level work,
the HEOP professional staff will evaluate your academic strengths
and weaknesses, and design a specific academic program for you.
Tutorial Services To help you succeed in your courses,
you may want to use our tutorial services. The sessions are conducted
on a one-to-one or group basis, depending on your needs.
Counseling Services We are here to make sure that you receive
assistance with problems which may interfere with your academic
progress. Academic counseling assists you in selecting your courses
and course load. For instance, you can take a reduced course load
your first semester, or you can plan on taking an extra year to
graduate. There is more to college than just your classes. We offer
personal counseling that will help you adjust to college life, build
your self-confidence and create a positive attitude toward learning.
Our counseling services will help you make the most of your education.
Now that you know what HEOP has to offer,
take the first step toward a brighter future. Tell us about yourself
and let Saint Rose HEOP help you reach your goals.
