| Korea:
9 am–Noon
Join us as we explore the distinct 5,000-year-old culture of Korea.
Learn about its origins in Confucianism and Buddhism, as well as
its ceremonial housing, architecture, and costumes. Students will
experience Taekwondo, traditional customs, pottery making or Hanji
paper, and seasonal festivals. Students will also learn basic Korean
phrases and language.
Ireland:
9 am–Noon
The rich culture of Ireland can be traced back to 6000 BC; join
us as we experience the diverse traditions of Irish music, dancing,
sports, and poetry. Some basic Gaelic phrases will be introduced
along with exploration of popular symbols including the shamrock
and shillelagh. Students will also learn about Ireland’s unique
festivals and celebrations including Beltane, The Feast of St. Brigid’s,
and of course, St. Patrick’s Day.

India: 1–4
pm
India has fascinated explorers, historians and tourists for centuries.
Learn about the ancient and modern history of India; experience
the diverse culture of its people, taste exotic cuisine, view colorful
Indian saris, explore the ancient religion of Hinduism, and participate
in traditional Indian games and sports. Students will get a glimpse
of many languages spoken including Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and
festivals celebrated including Diwali, Dussera, Holi.
Brazil:
1–4 pm
Come and learn about the largest country in South America and fifth
largest country in the world. Explore the Amazon rainforests as
well as Rio De Janeiro, Brazil’s 500 year old capital city.
Students will experience Capoeira, a ritualized, stylized, combat-dance
as well as Carnival, Brazil’s distinct pre-Lenten celebration.
Students will be exposed to traditional folk dance, drama, and costumes,
as well as basic Portuguese phrases.
