Residence Life

Who is the Residence Life Staff?
The Residence Life Staff consists of 5 Professional Staff Members and 48 Resident Assistants, or RAs.

The Director of Residence Life has overall responsibility for the Office of Residence Life, and supervises 4 Area Coordinators, and 1 Resident Director as well as a Graduate Assistant and the Coordinator for Housing Operations.

The Area Coordinators and Resident Director supervise a staff of approximately 9-11 Resident Assistants and, are on-call (one Professional Staff Member is on-call at all times) for crisis intervention on campus year round. They act as College Judicial Officers, and serve on a variety of campus-wide committees, as well as working on special projects for the Office of Residence Life.

Resident Assistants
The role of the RA is that of a liaison serving as the link between the Student Affairs staff and the students. The RA's primary responsibility is to offer peer assistance and direction to students. The RA is concerned with the growth and welfare of each individual in the house/floor and the group as a whole.

In order to apply to be a Resident Assistant you must be a rising Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student at the College of Saint Rose and have at least a 2.5 GPA. The RA Selection Process begins in mid-October for January hires and mid-February for August hires. See your RA or contact the Office of Residence Life for more information.

The Office of Residence Life is located at 204 Partridge St. 1st Floor
