The Residence Life program seeks to foster an environment that complements the academic mission of the College. It is dedicated to the development of each person's abilities and facilitation of each individual's responsibility to himself or herself and the people with whom each lives and interacts. You will be encouraged to gain an understanding of diverse lifestyles, enhance your classroom learning, and make lifelong friendships.
Who is the Residence Life Staff? The Director of Residence Life has overall responsibility for the Office of Residence Life, and supervises 4 Area Coordinators, and 1 Resident Director as well as a Graduate Assistant and the Coordinator for Housing Operations. The Area Coordinators and Resident Director supervise a staff of approximately 9-11 Resident Assistants and, are on-call (one Professional Staff Member is on-call at all times) for crisis intervention on campus year round. They act as College Judicial Officers, and serve on a variety of campus-wide committees, as well as working on special projects for the Office of Residence Life. Resident Assistants In order to apply to be a Resident Assistant you must be a rising
Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate Student at the College of
Saint Rose and have at least a 2.5 GPA. The RA Selection Process
begins in mid-October for January hires and mid-February for August
hires. See your RA or contact the Office of Residence Life for more
information.
