The Second Annual Saint Rose Women’s Studies Regional Conference Globalization, Gender and the Challenge of Transnational Feminisms Saturday March 15th 2008 We warmly welcome keynote speaker Supriya Pillai,* who will be addressing the conference in a talk titled: "Connecting the Mainstream and the Movement: Global Activism on Sexual Reproductive Rights and Health" Supriya Pillai joined the International Women’s Health Coalition (IWHC) as the Program Officer for Asia after living in West Africa and Cambodia for several years. She works in complex and challenging environments with diverse partners to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights for women and young people. Supriya works on gender, health, sexuality and international development issues in South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Third Wave Foundation and Political Research Associates.
